Hi all-
Some of you may remember me as the guy who recycled and donated 
computers with linux on them. These computers went basically anywhere I 
could identify a need. A couple were shipped to Greece, many more to 
Mexico, and a bunch were donated locally. I stopped this "program" when 
my home was broken into in December '02.
I am in the very early stages of re-starting a similar program, but 
this time I'd like to formalize the entire process, and preferably I'd 
NOT run it from my basement! The goal is to distribute, free of charge, 
computers to specific areas of need.
While there are a lot of details to be worked out, I'd like to get a 
feeling of who would be willing to participate in this program. You 
could help by donating some of your TIME and your TALENT by getting 
older machines (supplied) to work with linux. Importantly, there is no 
money involved in any of this process at any time. No computer parts 
are bought (donation only), and nothing is sold.
Please let me know if I'm reinventing the wheel, or if this doesn't 
seem like a good idea to anyone (and why).
