	What is in this users local .xsession-errors log?
	What (if anything) is defined in this users local .Xresources
file?  What happens to this file when you run the switchdesk utility?
Have you tried running switchdesk outside of X?  I've seen this on
installs of RHEL2.1 - but not FC3....
