Hello,

I'm with the Central Pennsylvania Linux User Group (CPLUG). On Saturday March
5, 2005, we will be hosting a Security Conference near Harrisburg Pennsylvania.
The conference will be geared toward individuals, organizations, and businesses
with a technical interest in Linux related networking and security.

We booked a room at a local college, and will be able to accomodate up to 200
people. We are also working with some Linux guru's to give presentations. We
have a number of folks who have already agreed to speak at the conference, and
we are still working to get more.

Of note, Russell Coker, one of the primary SELinux developers, will be giving
an SELinux presentation. SELinux is the NSA's security enhanced version of
Linux. A representative from the PA State Police Computer Crimes Unit will
be doing a presentation on "Computer Crime Law, Trends and Security Basics".
Brandon Hale, a Gentoo developer, will be speaking on how we can protect
against buffer overflows and similar types of attacks. We are working with a
number of others to give additional Linux security related presentations,
including IBM, Novell, and SourceFire Network Security (the makers of Snort).

It is our intention to have 5-6 hours worth of presentations, as well as
informal discussions before, after, and throughout the conference.

If you or any you know are interested, you can get more information as well as
register at the conference website:

Seating is limited, so if you are interested, be sure to register soon.

If you have any questions, please feel free to let us know.

We hope to see you there!
  -Eric
