Required Skills/Work Experience: 
Independent problem solving; self-direction; as an individual or as a member of a team, provide the design, development, implementation and support of UNIX operating system technology. Proficiency with most aspects of UNIX system administration; for example system installation and configuration, printing systems, fundamentals of security, installing third-party software.
A solid understanding of a UNIX-based operating system; understands paging and swapping, inter-process communications, devices and what device drivers do, file system concepts (for example, "inode" and "superblock"). Ability to write scripts in some administrative language (for example Perl, or Korn shell). Assist in the selection and assessment of new technologies for UNIX servers. Provide individual expertise to assist in decisions of systems direction and policy regarding computer systems engineering standards, equipment and processes.
3-5 years system administrator with HPUX 11.00 and 11.11
BS Computer Science or equivalent.


Systems Administrator

Responsibilities:
You as the Systems Administrator, should be a highly motivated individual that likes to be challenged.  You will be responsible for the backup and recovery planning, Network and security administration, automation of internal and external processes, the documentation of processes and procedures, and tuning of complex, distributed applications and systems.
 
 
Requirements
If you have industry certifications (MCSE, etc.), have 4 years experience and are proficient with systems administration of Red Hat Linux and Windows networks, are familiar with Oracle or SQL Server databases, have worked in software development shops, and have supported 24/7 production environments, than this is the position you have been looking for.  Salary is between 55-60k with benefits, based on experience.  Any experience with WebLogic, BizTalk, ColdFusion, JBoss, Progress, IIS/Apache is a big plus.
