[wplug] Financial Management Software

I'm using Quick Books Pro 2002 and they wanted to charge this year for updates. So, I'm in the same boat, because I didn't pay (the
cost was over $150). Seems like they adopted a pay-every-year-or-else mentality. I'm not very happy and will be using other
software, it does work so I'm not in a hurry to change.

I've heard good things about GnuLedger but never looked at it. I'm following the development of Open for Business (ofbiz.org). It
is more of an e-commerce package but they built themselves a complete framework including accounting etc. Maybe I'll convert to
ofbiz but I'm open for other ideas too.

Another project you may want to look at is Compiere. It was a commercial product that is now open.
