Comming from a windoze to linux enviroment is difficult at times. Here
is a nice little program that can help you practice linux on a windows
box and give you a remote view like vnc. http://x.cygwin.com/
I use it to view linux boxes remotely on my windoze box and admin my
windoze boxes by command line.
have fun welcome to Linux.
