Hrm, RH9 here..

/etc/sysconfig/desktop contains
DISPLAYMANAGER="KDE"

At the risk of sounding dumb, what is the correct command to launch KDE?
If it is /usr/bin/share/kdeinit as I guessed then it too does nothing when
run.
