Generally, the directory it looks in for module information is related to the 
output from "uname -r".  What is the output from "uname -r"?

You should definitely delete the link you created; that's more likely to break 
stuff than it is to fix stuff.

I could probably help you out.  Since the meeting ends promptly at 2PM, get 
there early if you are thinking about hauling a computer in and setting it up.
