[wplug] Mythtv, VDR, Freevo?

I have been using MythTV for about 2 1/2 months now and I love it mostly.  I
am having problems with how it uses mplayer and that I can't select stuff
from the DVD menu.

I've been looking into building a PVR but can't decide which program to 
use..  I'm leaning towards Freevo.

Any other suggestions?
