[wplug] SuSE font size help

I wasn't able to run YaST to install gnome (and am not familiar with
"the suse way of doing things", so I couldn't do it otherwise).

I was able to use KDE on my FreeBSD box to get a look at the KDE Control
Center and could make out the icons on the SuSE box, and used that to
change the font sizes from the Fonts menu... all to 30 point. (I still
don't know how to make this change from the command line)

I think the problem was this:
* A point is a physical unit of measure (1/72 inch, I think).
* SuSE recognized the dimensions of my display on its own (920mm x 525mm)
* KDE scaled the output so that the 12 point font would display as 1
pica (1/6 inch) on the display.
* Because of the resolution, this ended-up being no more than a few
pixels in height, which was displayed as unreadable text.

I'll try to install Gnome at some point to see how it compares 'by default'.

Hopefully I'll be able to install Freevo or MythTV, so I shouldn't need
to use the desktop too often, but I thought I'd post a reply with what I
believe was the cause of the problem.
