Chris,

Here are a couple links you may find useful:

http://www.ultralinux.org/ <http://www.ultralinux.org/>
This site discusses it's own Linux distribution for Sparc and others.

http://auroralinux.org/ <http://auroralinux.org/>
This is a Sparc Linux distribution based on Red Hat 7.3. I've installed this
in the past but I don't think it came pre-built with all of the bells and
whistles that I was looking for. They do list SPARCstation 20 as being
supported in their FAQ.

I apologize if someone already mentioned these.

Scott

Chris,

You might get some luck at www.linuxiso.org <http://www.linuxiso.org> ,
hitting the drop down box for your architecture and see what it returns.
I noticed Debian, gentoo, NetBSD, Red Hat and SuSE there, I'm not much of a
sparcophile though, so cant help much more.

I have an old Sun Sparc Station (I think it's a Sparc 20). I initially
bought it to learn Solaris, but I'd like to install some flavor of Linux on
it now to use as an FTP server.

Can anyone recommend a Sparc friendly distro? Has anyone had any
experience getting this up and running? Good or bad.

Thanks,

Chris
