i'm the list admin for some mailman mailing lists. i'm trying to create a
sendhook to disable things like pgp when i want to reply to one of the
mailing list administrative requests. the subject looks something like:

 'Re: confirm 270fa29f59e96a67464eb89404aa3c97f9d8be35'

when i reply to one of the list requests. i would think the following would
match that pattern:

  send-hook '~s Re: confirm [[:alnum:]]{40}'  "unset pgp_autosign; unset pgp_autoencrypt"

but when i try it i get an error:

  error in pattern at: confirm [[:alnum:]]{40}

can someone point out the error in my ways?
