Quick theory because I'm heading out the door here:

Poking around with some DNS tools, it seems sony and dell are local 
names for your local network only and are not public.

Seeing as how if you use the local name, everything works fine for your 
local network, and using the public www name externally (like my 
browser) everything seems fine, but slow from the local side, it could 
be that your router is flaking out when it sees a public name request 
coming internally that maps back to the local side?

just a guess...
