[wplug] Suggested older notebook distro for noob?

The knoppix CD will let you create a bootable floppy from the CD,
there's a batch file to do it on there, and you can install it on to the
hard disk if need be. What's the spec of the system in terms of RAM and
hard disk space?

I thought about that, but he doesn't have a bootable CD drive on the
system. I think he really wants to install a new OS, anyway.
