it this were posted to debian-user, i'm sure the users on that list would
_assume_ he is referring to the kernel. of the distros out there, debian
and it's users are the most likely to differentiate between linux (the
kernel) and gnu/linux (the kernel and everything else). now if somone
posted that on on a mandrake or redhat list, there might be some confusion.
