The Deathstar!  I think IBM sold the business to Hitachi ... apparently
there [is|was] a class-action lawsuit ... [tap, tap ... hurm har] ...

A colleague just had his Deathstar fail, losing about two weeks worth of
invoices ... he said he's had his best luck with drives from Western
Digital, although lots of forum-posters seem to think they function best as
paperweights.  [?]
