I tried KnoppMyth this weekend -- I was blown away.

Everything works instantly, and only minor configuration is
required. I first tried this with FC2 and RPMs, when tried the
atrpms-kickstart and mythtv-core. KnoppMyth is already designed to detect
soundcards and other related hardware. Worth a try.

Unplug your monitor from the unit, and plug the TV-out together.
ATI's cards need the TVOUT option in your XF86config.

I hate all of ATI's products, and I can never seem to get rid of
any of them fast enough. Their drivers and hardware are always broken and
substandard.

Will post to the list about my experiences with KnoppMyth and my
Voodoo 3500 TV card, which is a silly bastard card built by morons.

	They're on Carson and 28th, I think. Little bookstore-looking
facility. They don't have any tv-out cards, or cable tuners when last I
was there, but I did score three 3Com 3c592-TX cards for $3 apiece.
