Actually before I got my Tivo I did.  Someone on the group was kind enough 
to tell me about KnoppMyth  http://hust.la/KnoppMyth/ ..  It's built on 
knoppix, but with MythTV..  Very easy to setup, even for a beginner..

The reason I went with Tivo though is the XMLTV listings for my area were 
way off, and I didn't have nearly a good enough capture card.

All in all it's a pretty sweet setup though..

Since it just came up and I happen to playing with it right now I was 
wondering if anybody else has had any experiances with building a Linux PVR 
especially a MythTV setup.

I'm just playing with some older hardware trying to determine what all is 
necessary to have a nice Media PC for my house without breaking my budget. 
One that can record Stargate for me when I'm out is also a huge bonus. :-D

So anybody else try this?
