[wplug] Internal hard drive deals?

Thank you for posting this link! I have been looking for a deal on USB
attached hard drives - they had a 250MB for an awesome price
(http://shop1.outpost.com/product/4159203) - heck, a great price for the
drive alone (can easily ditch a USB 2.0 enclosure on eBay for 30+
bucks). Knowing that the site (outpost) was fronting for Frye's (the
most f-ed up electronics retailer on the planet) I figured the "limit
one per household" thing was not going to be enforced.

I was right - I got shipping confirmation this morning. 2 drives
heading my way! Way to go Frye's!

On an interesting side note - I tried initially to place my order via IE
and it puked when trying to look at my cart - Firefox worked fine.
Could have been a security setting on IE (the "corporate standard" here,
the primary reason I _don't_ normally use it) but I can't be sure.

Why do I need so much drive space? The "archive project" on my TiVos
has already exceeded 1TB!! I can't afford a SAN yet, so I gotta keep
throwing JBOD at it..... I have an old dual XEON I could make a storage
server from, but it's SCSI, and big drives are still too spendy for
me....

Don
