[wplug] Two Subnets?

I guess I'll be showing my ignorance here, I didn't realize one NIC
could function on two networks (ie two addresses).

Is this a complicated setup? How would IPTABLES be defined to show two
instances of one interface with differing addresses?

You can physically connect two ( or any number for that matter )
sub-nets with a hub, but you can not logically connect them. This
requires a router.

By connecting mutliple subnets through a common hub you are defeating
the purpose of subnetting which is to isolate networks to relieve
congestion, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

The easiest solution would be to assign multiple addresses to one of the
machines' network card.

That is, one card with two addresses assigned to it.
Make sure the second address is on the other subnet.
