>From what I've read, Baystar wants SCO to drop their Unixware efforts,
and focus soley on the litigation.  They want to see a return on their
investment, probably.  It is probably an effort to get SCO to
demonstrate they have a case, and if not, they'll pull their funding. 
They also want to have a change in leadership, since McBride keeps
saying stupid things to the media.
