Sometime in April John Harrold assaulted the keyboard and produced:

| so is the rpnhack.so file simply a file with:
|
| | > % ld -shared -o rpnphack.so \
| | > /full/path/to/RealPlayer/rpnp.so \
| | > /some/path/to/an/old/libgcc.a

i see, this ld .. -o makes the rpnphack.so file. i should have been more
attentive. so i guess i have a couple more questions. which plugin
directory does firebird use? these are my options:

~/.phoenix/plugins
./.netscape/plugins
./.netscape6/plugins

i tried running strace on firebird to no avail.

my second question is i assume i need to use rpnphack.so, do i name it
rpnp.so and stick it in my plugins dir or just use the name rpnphack.so?
