[wplug] SuSE 9 SAMBA Client Fun

The jury is still out on this but it appears that Windows domain issues
was the culperate. I had it working in the GUI because I fat fingered
the Domain to be CSD instead of the correct CS. How this works.. I have
no idea. The domain was never referenced as CSD. I'm guessing that it
has to do with Windows ignoring (somehow) the workgroup string in
conqueror but puking in the mount command variation.

PS: the reason for the -W confusion was you were referencing the
smbclient command and I was looking a the man pages and command info for
smbmount which has no -W.

Thanks,

I'm running Version 2.2.7a-SuSE on SuSE 8.2
and smbclient --help does show the -W option.

So does the man page.

I'm sure you know that the smb.conf file plays a part in the client side

configuration as well as server side. Some domain specifics can be
specified
there too.

I wish I could be more help but maybe you'll piece together a solution
from the responses.

Good Luck,

Bob
