Hello folks-
WPLUG is starting up a newsletter, edited by Elwin Green and myself.
We intend to set up a separate mailing list for related discussion,
but I wanted to put out a general call in the meantime for anyone
who would like to contribute articles. As much as possible, we'd
like to get items that are related to western PA or have some local
tie-in. No previous writing experience (other than having the
ability to write) is necessary.
Here are some potential topics:
- How local businesses are using Linux
- Summaries of what happened at WPLUG meetings/installfests
(it'd be nice if someone could commit to this as a recurring thing)
- Book/distribution/other product reviews
Also, on April 16 there will be a Novell/IBM Linux workshop
<http://www.novell.com/training/linux/workshop/>. Is anyone
interested in attending and writing up an article on this?
Please get in touch with me <vance at happylemur.com> and/or Elwin
<bekitemba2002 at yahoo.com> if you want to contribute a story.
Suggestions for topics are also welcome. I plan to be at the user
meeting this Saturday.
