Try modprobe usb-ohci.
If that works, put in your modules.conf:
alias usb-controller usb-ohci.
If you can't modprobe either usb-uhci or usb-ohci, then you either: 1.)
don't have a USB controller 2.) have it disabled or 3.) something is
really weird.
