[wplug] consistent screen resolution

Hello.

Anyone have any ideas why I only get 1024x768 screen resolution for most
window managers like fluxbox, but I can get 1280x1024 with gnome?

I've played around with my XF86Config file quite a bit.  Seems like
anything higher than 1024x768 crashes X (ie- it won't start).  But for
some reason, I can use gnome's little screen resolution control panel
and get 1280x1024.  What's gnome's secret?  Anyone know?

Oh, running slackware 9.  gnome 2.4.
