[wplug] NFS mounts

I have a problem with mounting an NFS partition on my server to this
machine. It worked when I first placed the entry in my /etc/fstab file,
but now it will not mount. Now for the particulars...

Server: RH 7.3
IP: 192.168.2.1
share/directory to mount: /home/ftp
UID-GID: ftp.ftp

This machine: RH 9.0
IP: 192.168.2.3
share/directory mount point: /var/ftp/pub

It makes no difference whether it is boot time or I manually sudo and
try to mount the directory, I get the exact same response! The fstab
file has this entry:

192.168.2.1:/home/ftp /var/ftp/pub/ nfs
rsize=8192,wsize=8192,timeo=14,intr

which is standard!

On this desktop machine I get the following response at boot time and
manually trying to mount:

(manual entry)
sudo mount 192.168.2.1:/home/ftp /var/ftp/pub/ -t nfs -o tcp

(response)
mount: RPC: Program not registered

What I don't understand is portmap is running on both machines and when
I created this entry in the fstab file it worked! I could even mount and
umount the NFS partition manually. Now I get the above response.

Can anyone help?
Frank
