[wplug] OT: VESA Monitor Stands

Hi,

This has nothing to do with Linux per se (other than
that this is for my Linux box), but this is a sharp
bunch and so somebody may know this.

I just picked up an 18" flat-panel monitor for the
Linux box. Sweet.

I want to mount the monitor on the wall behind my desk
rather than putting it *on* my desk. The stand that
came with the monitor is removable, and it has "VESA
standard wall mounts" on the back.

Now what does that mean? I can do a search for that,
but all I find are sites selling VESA wall mounts but
for specific monitors or brands. Can I use any brand
mount with this monitor, or a generic, or what? I
checked the site for my monitor and they do not
mention anything about their own mount or a
recommended third-party mount.

Does anybody know anything about this?

Thanks!

- Rick
