Did you try domain\username when logging in?  I always forget to do that
when trying to get mail from Exchange.

Yes, I get an Authorization failure error.  I tried all different types of 
--auth.  (ntlm, password).  I tried POP3 and IMAP.  Oh, this is Exchange 5.5
