All this talk about new distros (RH 9, Slackware 9, Mandrake 9.1), the
latest Debian Sid I installed... but what *really* rocked my world was
KNOPPIX 3.2.

This CD is just magic. If only all distros installed + ran as smooth,
and had all apps nicely pre-configured like that... KDE 3.1.1,
OpenOffice.org 1.0.2, anti-aliased Mozilla, Ximian Evolution 1.2, xmms,
xine, KOffice, Nessus, ethereal, flawless support for the wireless and
sound card of my T23 and a truckload of pre-configured applications.

I can't recommend it strongly enough - especially for new users who wish
to be spared the install shock, it's awesome. I'll burn copies to give
out on a presentation on GNU/Linux and Free Software this Tuesday. Does
anyone have any suggestions for cheap bulk CD-Rs?
