Try this:

Without X running (init 3), type in the console:

X -probeonly 2>&1 | grep VideoRAM

Watch the case (upper/lower) of characters in the above line, it's
important.

I'm not sure if the value returned is actually probed or just comes from
XF86config
but give it a try.

Why don't you try the a cron job? If you need this same thing to 
happen EVERY Sat at 09:52:43, then it will happen EVERY Sat...

As far as the emil going to account2 and you need the email in 
account1, then you can make an alias for sendmail.

account2 : account1
root     : account1
somebody : account1
