Well, Donald Becker´s site idicates that it does
(other users report using it successfully). It is just
not explicitly mentioned in the list of cards the
driver supports, apparently.

Donald does however have a habit of not folding
changes to his drivers into the main kernel source
very frequently. You may want to go to
http://www.scyld.com/network/vortex.html and see if
perhaps there is a newer version of the driver which
works w/ the card there.

With binary-only drivers like the nVidia you may be
out of luck unless you can compile against the same
kernel version as nVidia used.
