Generally there's no need to "hope" for your camera to be supported by a 
specific application. Since the sticks can be mounted as removable 
drives in USB "normal" mode (usually under /dev/sda1 as Russ said), 
it's easier/more efficient to just treat them as such.

If sg alone doesn't do it, try the following:

# modprobe usbcore
# modprobe usb-uhci
# modprobe usb-storage
# modprobe vfat
# modprobe fat

and then mount it as mentioned.
