hey.
while fooling around with nmap i found that port 1434 was open/filtered. so
i read around and it appears this port is used by ms's sql server. so i was
wondering if anyone could tell me why this port would be open on linux?
i've google'ed a bit, but i haven't found anything really satisfying.

What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans, and the homeless,
whether the mad destruction is brought under the name of totalitarianism or
the holy name of liberty and democracy?
