I thought I'd let anyone interested know that the problem was as silly
as it goes (as usual...). I was using:
> > tux:~# ncpmount -S 0A1F007D /mnt/volumeII/ -U username -P password
> > ncpmount: Unknown server (0x89FC) when trying to find 0A1F007
The correct syntax is:
ncpmount -S $IP_ADDRESS /mnt/volumeII/ -U username -P password
Also, the novel client (http://novelclient.sourceforge.org) works pretty
well, as long as you don't let it "bind IPX to the interface", because
it tries to auto-negotiate the frame type, which results in collisions.
Set it manually with ipx_interface add -p eth0 <frame_type> instead.
