Sometime in June R.E.Coutch assaulted the keyboard and produced:

| Could this be the top secret "stolen code" SCO keeps referring to?
|
| Most distro's have a feature that matches the description in the patent
| application.
|
| It's dated Feb 2000. Wasn't RH 6.2 using this feature before that?

i believe apt was around before that. however i'm quite sure tivoli
(www.tivoli.com), an ibm company no less, was around much before that. i
had a friend who worked there in 1997/98 and he showed me the software on
which he was working: this is it now i bleive
http://www-3.ibm.com/software/tivoli/solutions/co/ which basically does
what up2date does. it's good stuff and predates this patent by quite a few
years.
