Hi!

First of all, many thanks to the people who responded to my earlier
posts, there were some _very_ interesting suggestions there.

Pushing forward, I'd like some pointers for the following glitch:

Whenever I wake up my laptop (i.e. recover from system suspend), I see
the following in /var/log/messages:

Jan 21 16:39:43 helios kernel: Device 08:01 not ready.
Jan 21 16:39:43 helios kernel: I/O error: dev 08:01, sector 126464

How do I find out what device this 08:01 is? I tried checking a big
(9GB) non-root partition (that would account for 30% of my entire disk)
with /sbin/badblocks the other night, but after 10 hours it still
hadn't completed, and I aborted. I used the most thorough-while-safe
option of badblocks (-n).

But I don't really know if this message has anything to do with my disk.

Any ideas?

TIA
