I used to have an ES1371. There is kernel support for it, so if you
are up for recompiling your kernel you can do that. You could also
setup ALSA to handle your sound, and do everything through kernel
modules. In your case I'd probably opt for the kernel recompile. It
is pretty simple to do. If you are unsure of how to do this, just say
so and I can point you towards some good resources.
