Sometime in February Roc&Jes assaulted the keyboard and produced:

| Ok, we tried what this website said and we were able to install Linux BUT we
| now have a new problem :)
|
| When we go to log into a session, we hear a click in the speakers and then
| it locks up and it stops dead. Any ideas? (yes, I know ...tsk tsk..such a
| newbie :) )

hum.. is there anything in

/var/log/messages

you may have to goto one of the virtual terminals to get to this
information. if you hit ctrl+alt+f1 it should bring up a text login screen.
then login and less the files.

less /var/log/messages

there should be a time to the left. look at the events that occurred around
the time when you tried to login.
