[wplug] Terminal font size (not using X)

Is it possible to change the font size if you're not using X?  

I have Debian installed on a machine and X is not running.  The monitor is 
just plugged in and everything is command line.

Is there some setting somewhere I can change to make the font smaller?  
Everything's so BIG on such a small monitor.
