It is my root hard drive and i would really like to keep the data. Here is a sorted unique output of the errors over the course of the past month:

Also I have gotten the following errors on another harddrive a few time over the course of month a few times for another hard drive:

 hdc: task_no_data_intr: error=0x10 { SectorIdNotFound }, LBAsect=0, sector=0
 hdc: task_no_data_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }

Does this look like a fsck -c will correct the problem or a new cable or do I have to bite the bullet and buy a new drive?

Also when fsck repairs a filesystem, does that mean all the files are peachy keen again or could the repaired files be corrupted?

Thanks,

Jt
