<MY OPINION>

Well, as a libertarian and business owner I can safely comment on this
without being called a right winger.

Republican: Let corporations, who pay the majority of taxes, keep more
of what they worked their tails off to earn. When the corporations have
more money they will hire more people and everyone wins. We know because
we are all rich corporate thugs who made our money by refusing to pay
unskilled workers high salaries.

Democrat: Raise taxes on the people who are paying the majority of taxes
anyways and give it to the people who sit on their tails and take
advantage of the socialist system. When taxes are raised people will
lose their jobs creating a greater proletarian voting base. Oh, and
don't forget to call anyone who suggests the government should take less
money a corporate pig and blame them for accounting scandals and the
like. We are also corporate pigs but we made our money through Orwellian
business practices and inheritance.

(Just for the hell of it)
Libertarian: Lower taxes drastically, get rid of social programs, make
up for the lowered government income by removing the government from our
personal lives and getting rid of laws and agencies that are in
existence solely to hold our hands and protect us from ourselves. And
while we are at it, get rid of blatantly unconstitutional laws such as
the Patriot Act, RICO statutes and Super DMCAs. Restore free speech and
the 2nd amendment and once more return to a constitutional foundation as
opposed to a loophole legal system. All of this would free up a couple
of trillion dollars that could be used to stimulate the hell out of our
economy. Of course it will never happen in my lifetime.

Summary: Raising taxes on overburdened tax payers causes higher
unemployment and lower wages. No one group of taxpayers can support the
entire government. When those who create jobs and pay salaries have more
money, the effects are felt throughout the economy in a positive way.
