I do the same thing as Amanda for a couple of reasons:
1. I'm not always using Linux when I check my mail, and I haven't
found a crossplatform graphical MUA that's stable and handles
everything I need.
2. I want all my stored mail in one location (and IMAP for this
purpose is slow).
3. I want access to my SpamAssassin filters when I'm reading my mail.
The only downside is in handling attachments... gotta do the old
save/[p]scp/view shuffle.
