Which raises another question that I have: I attempted
an upgrade from Mandrake 7.0 to 8.2 a few weeks ago.
It *seemed* to go okay: everything certainly looks
different - but at the opening console, the kernel is
listed as 2.2.14-15. That sounds too low. Is it? (From
what I see, Mandrake's website doesn't indicate which
versions use which kernels). And if it is, does that
mean I have to do a complete reinstall to get the
proper kernel running?
