Why not just make an alias or bash script that has what you want, or,
even more simply, save a predefined "world" file, copy it into a new
system, and then "emerge world"? (Or maybe I'm misunderstanding what you
want to do.) You could even post it to Gentoo so some folks could use
it.

Of course, the whole idea of Gentoo is *not* to get a fairly packed
system without the user wanting it. This is why I like Gentoo -- I have
only what I use on my system, which is especially nice for a laptop.
