	I mean like I have not spent any time building sources other than
kernels by direct interaction with the make files and configs and whatnot.
Of course, the whole distro to this point was compiled, but with
(thankfully) very little skill / intervention required on my part.
	Sadly, my job (stupid customers - god I hate 'em) have precluded me
from getting my Gentoo laptop back on the 'Net to add more stuff to it.  I
have spent a bit of time on reading over docs (including turning all the
stuff available into rtf docs) but I'm still clamoring for an easier way to
emerge things en masse.  I think what I'm going to do is look over a RH
comps file and cull "Program Sets" from that, and just feed that package
list to emerge.  I really like the idea of Gentoo - but sometimes I wish it
had a few widgets to just get to a fairly packed system with X, some
desktops, etc - without having to traipse all over the portage tree.
Portage is cool - but massive in scope.
