I agreen with Donald here, except that the device might be emulating
SCSI through IDE because it's a cd burner, so it'll probably be
/dev/scd0.  Of course, if you've just added the disk, this probably
isn't set up yet, so you'll have to put the appropriate entry in your
grub or lilo configuration file.

Anyway, having an icon on the desktop probably won't do what you want it
to do, namely, burn CDs.  I suggest reading up on cdrecord and mkisofs,
that's my favorite way to burn CDs.
