According to the comments in make.conf, the only way to pull from mirrors
other than the default is by installing mirrorselect via emerge prior to
installing (unless I'm interpreting this wrong).  So while "Prozilla" isn't
a requirement (but "turbo mode" install sounds like a good idea to me) the
system still fails on the emerge for mirrorselect - and even if that weren't
the case, if there an issue with cpp I would expect the install to fail in a
similar manner if cpp is somehow broken.
