	Wow - that's weird.  AFAIK IDE is IDE - laptop or regular old
PeeCee.

	What does a bootable CD do to the local drive?  It's not some how
(gulp) touching the BIOS is it????  The above procedure would certainly seem
to indicate that's the case.

	Suddenly I'm not so enthused...
