Hello All,
i was recently blessed with a new Epson Stylus C82 for my birthday.
Unfortunaltly, i can't get it to work. :-(

i went to linuxprinting.org and found that using the driver
gimp-print would allow me to use my new printer "perfectly". So i
downloaded gimp-print-cups-4.2.5-3.src.rpm. Of course i also had to
download cups and all it's attendant libraries.

i was able to install all packages succesfully and was able to
access the cups interface via http://localhost:631. It recognized my
printer on the USB port and recomended the drivers installed from
gimp-print. However, when you are adding or configuring the printer it
asks for the location and description of printer on the first page.
Description is self explanatory but what does it mean by "Location"? i
can't seem to find what i am supposed to enter here in any of the
documentation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!! i so want to play with my
new toy!!

Also, i know that Epson usual software suite on M$ machines has
several utilities to clear the print heads and check ink levels. Does
anybody know of alternatives for my alternative OS?

    Thanks Again,

    Joe Gordon IV
